Victorian Christmas Traditions

Students experience the sights and smells of a Victorian Christmas in this interactive program. Learning about the development of Christmas traditions, students are encouraged to contrast the multi-cultural celebrations of today with those of the Victorian Harris Family. The tour touches upon other winter holidays that are celebrated around the world, and close to home including; the Winter Solstice/Yule, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and the Luner New Year.

The 1-hour tour is followed by a workshop on said theme which changes every year in the Interpretive Centre.
