Trident Dagger

This is an unusual piece of weaponry. Previously identified as being of Spanish origin, this trident dagger has a large, rounded guard that encapsulates the hand. Trident daggers have existed since the 12th century, but generally have smaller blades which are in closer proximity. This piece was likely collected on one of the Harris Family trips to Europe in the late 1800s- early 1900s.

The three Indigenous Nations that are neighbours to London are the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation; Oneida Nation of the Thames; and the Munsee-Delaware Nation who all continue to live as sovereign Nations with individual and unique languages, cultures, and customs.
