This piece of furniture is a dual-purpose table. Folded, it looks like an ordinary end table, but once it us unfolded and swivels, it becomes a card table. It was the perfect table for people like the Harris’ who loved to entertain. Popular Victorian card games included bridge and whist. The piece is made from Walnut, with decorative veneer and pie crust edging, and sits on brass casters for easy movement.
