Eldon House encourages you to bring your favourite stuffed friend and enjoy tea or lemonade along side several sweet treats and desserts! Play a round of Teddy Bear I-Spy, enjoy a self-guided tour of the Museum and play some traditional Victorian lawn games. Between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. children can sit and listen to tales of Beatrix Potter being read aloud by Amelia Harris! Children 16 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.

Registration is required to participate in the tea seating. Walk-ins are available while supplies last, please call to confirm. The event takes place on the west lawn of Eldon House, weather permitting. In case of rain or severe weather the event will take place in the Interpretive Centre. Catering is provided by Scotian Isle.

You will receive an email within 72 hours that your order has been confirmed. We regret that we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions. Registration closes on Wednesday, August 27th at 12:00pm. Orders cannot be filled after Wednesday, August 27th at 12:00pm as the orders are sent to the caterer in advance.  No refunds are permitted past Wednesday, August 27th at 12:00pm. Reservations are transferable to family or friends upon contacting the Eldon House Program Coordinator via email or phone.

Our Teddy Bear Tea is catered by Scotian Isle Baked Goods Inc. located on 972 Hamilton Road #13 London, Ontario. Founded on March 13, 1988, Scotian Isle has been serving Londoners for over 30 years with retail and wholesale products that can be found in grocery stores around London and surrounding areas. Scotia Isle takes pride in making many different home-made products such as Meat pies, Oatcakes, Soups, Breads, Cookies, Scones, Dessert squares, Fruit pies and Muffins to name a few. Scotia Isle supports other local businesses around London.

Our tea has been procured by The Tea Haus since 2019 and is located on the second floor of the Covent Garden Market.

Important Information:

    • We regret that we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions.
    • The menu is vegetarian.
    • No refunds are permitted past the 72 hour mark. Reservations are transferable to family or friends by providing their name in advance. Orders can be configured into a to-go box for pick up on the day of. To do this, please call 519-661-5169 or email info@eldonhouse.ca to confirm.
    • Children 16 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.
    • The event will be taking place on the grounds of Eldon House. This program is rain or shine. Please dress and prepare accordingly.
