Join us for afternoon tea on the beautiful lawns of Eldon House, overlooking the Thames River. Enjoy an afternoon sipping tea, surrounded by the grounds and gardens of London’s oldest residence. Enjoy a Garden Tea with a wide selection of sweet desserts, a classic scone with butter and jam, fresh fruit for garnish accompanied with a cup loose leaf tea. Guests are required to purchase their tickets online in advance.
The Summer Tea Program begins of Wednesday, July 2nd and ends on Friday, August 29th, 2025.
Light Tea is $15.00 (incl. HST) per person and includes 1 delicious scone with jam and butter, 1 meringue, and fresh fruit for garnish accompanied with a cup of loose leaf tea.
Full Tea is $40.00 (incl. HST) per person and includes 1 delicious scone with jam and butter, 1 brownie, 1 whipped shortbread cookie, 1 meringue, 1 mini cheesecake, 1 macaron, 1 chocolate macaroon, and 1 iced Bakewell tart accompanied by fresh fruit for garnish accompanied with a cup of loose leaf tea.
Important Information:
Orders are closed out 72 hours prior to each seating.
You will receive an email confirmation with 72 hours after you have placed your purchase.
The event will be taking place on the grounds of Eldon House. This program is rain or shine. Please dress and prepare accordingly.
In the case of severe weather (as designated my Environment Canada) the event will take place inside the Interpretive Centre.
Duration of each seating is up to 90 minutes.
Guests are required to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before their designated time slot.
Large Groups of 8 people or more:
Large parties, of 8 people or more, must contact the museum to process the booking as a single order.
The entirety of the payment must be processed at time of booking.
Payments can be processed over the phone or in person at the museum via cash, debit, or credit.
Requests are reviewed in the order in which they are received.
Seating arrangements will be made based on availability.
Large groups must book a minimum of 2-weeks in advance.
Large group bookings can include birthday parties, wedding showers, baby showers, retirement parties, engagement parties, celebrations of life, celebratory group gatherings, corporate gatherings, etc.
Large groups are situated under the magnolia tree. Please note, other guests are also taking part in said tea program on the grounds.
A small gift table 4×4 ft, and tablecloth, can be provide upon request.
No outside food, table arrangements, or decorations are permitted unless approved in advance by Eldon House’s Program Coordinator.
Set Menu:
The Summer Tea Program is based on a set menu. Eldon House is not able to accommodate dietary restrictions, however the menu is completely vegetarian.

Parking and Accessibility:
There is no public parking on site. There is public parking in and around the museum. Please Click here for Google Maps of Eldon House to locate the nearest public/city parking.
For those with mobility requirements, we recommend stopping in front of the Eldon House gate on Ridout St. N. and escorting the individual(s) up to the front door of Eldon House, followed by the driver parking their vehicles on nearby street/public parking lots.
The grounds are accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers. While booking your tea you can indicate that your party would also like to be seated on the covered porch (optional). The west porch has a slight incline for water run-off. There is a direct path from the front gate to the front door leading to the side porch with tea tables.
The washroom can be accessed by the east sidewalk or through the west lawn.
The entrance to the museum and the first floor is accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, etc. However, the second floor it accessible only by a staircase.
Gratuity:
Gratuity is not included in the ticket price.
Refunds:
Purchases of the Summer Tea Program are non-refundable. Eldon House is not responsible for any damage, injury, loss, or illness.
Reservations are transferable to family or friends upon contacting the Eldon House Program Coordinator via email or phone.
Eldon House reserves the right to cancel this event at any time and will refund ticket costs in such cases.
Our Summer Tea Program is catered by Scotian Isle Baked Goodslocated on 972 Hamilton Road #13 London, Ontario. Founded on March 13, 1988, Scotian Isle has been serving Londoners for over 30 years with retail and wholesale products that can be found in grocery stores around London and surrounding areas. Scotian Isle takes pride in making many different home-made products such as Meat pies, Oatcakes, Soups, Breads, Cookies, Scones, Dessert squares, Fruit pies, Muffins, and more.
Our tea has been procured by The Tea Haussince 2019 and is located on the second floor of the Covent Garden Market.
