Join local queen and seamster Miss Edie Violet, in learning the basic of hand sewing by creating fabric florals. This workshop is designed for beginners, where participants will walk away with the basic steps in hand sewing. The hope is that each participant learns the essential stitches and basic principles of hand sewing so that they can continue their newfound hobby beyond the classroom. The workshop begins with a short presentation on the history of hand sewing and embroidery, the importance of needlework within a Victorian home, and the importance of millinery.
