In this presentation we travel back in time to the very beginning of life on earth. Numerous plant fossils are examined to provide an introduction to the evolution of plants from the Cambrian Period to the present day. The role that these ancient plants played in the formation of fossil fuels will also be examined. Focus is placed on native Ontario flora and how they came to flourish in the area.
