Come to Eldon House and Celebrate Canada Day and the communities that make up Canada’s multicultural society and the unique heritage of our local communities! Join us for self-guided tours of the Museum, historic lawn games, and see local entertainment including local musicians and dancers preforming every hour showcasing their cultural music and dance! In support of Canadian Multicultural Day on Thursday, June 27th, explore London and experience sights and sounds of London’s colourful community!

Eldon House is delighted to welcome the London Bicycle Café, located at 320 Thames St., as part of several of our upcoming special events for the 2024 season! This include Eldon House’s Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter Markets, July 1st Celebrations, and Eldon House Birthday Party in September! Purchase a cup of pipping hot or refreshing iced coffee or tea, and enjoy the afternoon watching local artists and performers! We acknowledge that we are on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Attawandaron. We honour and respect the history, languages and culture of the diverse Indigenous people who call this territory home.

We acknowledge all the treaties that are specific to this area: the Two Row Wampum Belt Treaty of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy/Silver Covenant Chain; the Beaver Hunting Grounds of the Haudenosaunee NANFAN Treaty of 1701; the McKee Treaty of 1790, the London Township Treaty of 1796, the Huron Tract Treaty of 1827, with the Anishinaabeg, and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum of the Anishnaabek and Haudenosaunee.

The three Indigenous Nations that are neighbours to London are the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation; Oneida Nation of the Thames; and the Munsee-Delaware Nation who all continue to live as sovereign Nations with individual and unique languages, cultures, and customs.
