Children will get the chance to learn about a traditional Victorian craft by sewing their very own rainbow lavender sachets. The rainbow has been an symbol for the LGBTQ+ community since artist Gilbert Baker created the first Rainbow flag in the 1978. The diversity of colour represents a different element of said community. Eldon House strives to uphold our values of inclusiveness and respect by being a safe space for those of the London LGBTQ+ community. After the workshop, take time to enjoy a self-guided tour of Eldon House and enjoy the museum’s grounds and gardens.

Register for your crafting session at either 1:00 or 2:30 p.m.
Craft Includes: Sewing sunshine rainbow lavender sachets.
Level of Difficulty: Sewing Beginners
Age Range Recommendation: 6-14 years old

Time slots are 60 minutes maximum starts at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. Walk-ins space is available while supplies last.  Adults are not permitted to leave children 16 and under unattended.

All children and adults attending the event must purchase a ticket. Both adults and children will have their own crafting supplies. When making your purchase, please indicate how many children under 3 will be participating. These guidelines ensures that staff can prepare our craft supplies accordingly. Thank you.

  • No refunds are permitted past the 48 hours mark prior to the crafting event. Tickets are transferable to family or friends by providing their name to in advance. To do this, please call 519-661-5169 or email info@eldonhouse.ca to confirm.
