This sword is likely a replica of a mandau from the Dayak people in Borneo. Mandau’s are ceremonial knives with a slightly curved blade. These knives are known for having intricate handles often made of wood, brass, or bone. Occasionally, the ends are decorated with horse of human hair. This one is likely horsehair.
