Experience a traditional Victorian Christmas with a one hour guided tour of Eldon House. Our costumed Historical Interpreters will engage you with many Christmas facts, including the origins of Christmas cards and why ghost stories were told as Christmas. This tour includes a history of age old traditions that will get you in the Holiday spirit.

Light refreshments will be provided after the tour in our Interpretive Center. COVID-19 passports along with valid photo ID will be required in order to participate.
  • Please note how many children are apart of your party.
  • Mask or face covering are required.
  • Social distancing measures of 6 feet will be maintained between staff and fellow visitors.
  • There is no parking on site. There is parking on Fullerton St. across from the Eldon House Gardens or in and around Ridout St. N. 
  • In order to participate you will be required to answer a few screening questions upon your arrival to ensure the safety of both staff, vendors and fellow participants.
  • Please be aware that this event could be postponed or cancelled depending on pandemic developments.

  • As of November 17:
    • Eldon House requires that all patrons, staff, volunteers and anyone entering the building must provide proof of full vaccination along with government issued photo ID in order to participate in any of our specialty tours, educational programs, adult programming and workshops. Guests must be fully vaccinated a minimum of two weeks prior to partaking in any of our programming. Exemptions include children 12 and under. We will accept recognize limited exemptions set out by the local and provincial health authorities.
