During Doors Open, visitors will explore the unique design elements of historic Eldon House. Visitors may take part in self-guided tours of the house and grounds and enjoy outdoor activities including classic Victorian lawn games for families and children. The museum will also have a display of food related items that are relevant to the Eldon House Collection.

The 22nd annual Doors Open London (DOL) weekend will take place on September 16 and 17, 2022. The theme for Doors Open 2023 is London’s Heritage Through Cuisine—also incorporating healthy eating and the nutritional value of food, and invites participants and attendees to explore London’s culture through food. The event weekend provides a range of interested locations and activities to ensure all community members can match their curiosities and while enabling participants to embrace opportunities for public engagement. Everyone is able to explore the rich heritage of the Forest City and have an inside look at London’s many museums, heritage sites, and community businesses.
