Christmas Crafting for Kids and Story Time with Amelia

Children will get the chance to learn about seasonal traditional Victorian holiday ornaments and decorations through crafting. Take time to explore Eldon House with a self-guided tour and enjoy the sights and scents of our Victorian Christmas exhibit. Children are able to sit in the Drawing Room and listen to The Night Before Christmas read outload by Amelia Harris! Story Time with Amelia is on a first come first serve basis.

Register for your crafting session at either 1:00 or 2:30 p.m. Crafts are recommended for all ages. Crafts include:
Clove and Cinnamon Pomanders
Decorating Gingerbread Ornaments (salt dough)

Time slots are 60 minutes maximum starting at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. Walk-ins space is available while supplies last.  Story Time with Amelia Harris is first come first serve (limited seating due to capacity). Adults are not permitted to leave children 15 and under unattended at either activity.

All children and adults attending the event must purchase a ticket. Also, when making your purchase, please indicate how many children under 2 will be participating. These guidelines ensures that staff can prepare our craft supplies accordingly. Thank you.

  • No refunds are permitted past the 48 hours mark prior to the crafting event. Tickets are transferable to family or friends by providing their name to in advance. To do this, please call 519-661-5169 or email info@eldonhouse.ca to confirm.
  • Please be aware that if the event is postponed or canceled guests will be notified in advance as soon as possible.
