Registration Required | Registration Policy

Discover the Eldon House botanical collection through two prominent Victorian-era art and craft techniques.
Join artists Gabriella Solti and Michelle Wilson in an exploration of the Eldon House's botanical collection through cyanotype and beading. Guests will get a close look at pressed botanical specimens dating back to the early 1800’s that were inherited by Lucy Ronalds Harris and attributed to her great-grandfather Hugh Ronalds of Brentford, England, that are now part of the Eldon House museum collection. These specimens will serve as reference material for using an age old photography method in making a solar print using the sun, water and air (cyanotype).

Registrants will also draw inspiration from this botanical collection in creating a unique beadwork piece incorporating skills such as pattern transfer and stitching.

To register, please visit  or call 519.661.5169.

Cost: $40 per person including all materials.

In the event of poor weather, an alternative will be offered in place of cyanotype (sun prints).

30 available.
